Woodstock Day School - Memorial Swing Circle
During the 2017-18 school year I worked with the 11th grade at the Woodstock Day School to design and build a memorial for a classmate who had passed away the previous year. The students wanted to create something that would bring people together around a sugar maple that had been planted in her honor. The completed structure uniquely expresses her love of nature and community and quickly became a favorite spot for students and teachers to gather during both learning and free times.
Woodstock Day School - High School Elective
During the 2016-17 school year I taught a design elective to high school students at Woodstock Day School. During the course, students re-imagined the science classrooms at the school. Many of the design ideas have since been implemented.
Omega Institute - Family Week Kids’ Camps
Since 2010, I have co-taught multiple design and engineering camps for eight to twelve-year-olds at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY with friend and Landscape architect, Jenny Lee. Over the years, we have worked with the students to design houses, stores, bridges, Rube Goldberg machines, and a miniature golf course.
